This holiday is for my fiancé birthday here in Corfu. Delays at Gatwick didn't hinder our mood and arrived at golden mare around 2am and greeted warmly with quick efficient reception desk clerk. We didn't receive room booked and with equal efficiency it was corrected and upgraded with warmest management code of conduct I could possibly need.. Manager went above and beyond to remedy the situation which left me overwhelmed and very grateful and assured my stay here was going to be amazing and yes it has been just that. Highly recommend the GOLDEN MARE RESORT BARBATI CORFU 100 PERCENT.

It’s so bad the food is terrible and the rooms have stains and ants in room bathroom , also the workers are so miserable only 2 people where nice it has so much potential but poor customer service and bad food there’s nice views from the balcony but it’s so bad

We stayed at Golden Mare Resort for 7 nights in July and had a great experience. The pool was spacious with breathtaking sea views. We really enjoyed the delicious traditional Greek food, and the location was perfect, with plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. A relaxing hotel , perfect for a family getaway and would highly recommend

We have jusy returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel, 5 ladies celebrating a special birthday. The hotel in general is good, rooms are clean and well equipped. We had an issue one day with no cleaner however this was addressed quickly by reception. Food was average, not a massive choice and sometimes not very warm either. All inclusive drinks were shocking, the mixers and cocktails were very poor. We bought our mixers from the shop, however the beer and wine were drinkable. Pool area again was ok, could have done with mopping regularly as the floor got wet through and never saw anyone cleaning it. The pool however was cleaned every day as were the sunbeds. The roof terrace bar is fabulous, yes you have to pay for the drinks but they are great and the views are out-standing. The hotel could be amazing with little effort, just needs some simple adjustments to make this a truly fabulous 5 star hotel. Barbati is a lovely little resort, some great bars and restaurants and stunning scenery

I would rate my stay at the Golden Mare Hotel as generally positive. The biggest highlight was definitely the beautiful views — both from the rooms and around the hotel grounds. Cleanliness throughout the property was at a high level, and the staff at the reception were very polite and helpful. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The food at the hotel restaurant left something to be desired. Breakfast and lunch were still okay, but dinner unfortunately did not meet expectations — the selection was quite limited, especially when it came to vegetables and fruits, which were really lacking. Another downside was the bar. Although the hotel offers an all-inclusive option, there was really just one bar available, and the drinks served there were rather low quality. When it comes to the spa, I didn’t really use it, as the number of available services was quite limited and didn’t seem very appealing. Overall, the hotel has the potential to be a truly luxurious place, but it definitely needs to improve the food and drinks, diversify the spa offer, and perhaps it would also be worth considering making it an adults-only hotel.

Golden Mare in Corfu was a really nice surprise – beautiful views, peaceful atmosphere, and super friendly staff. The food was good, there was always something to choose from, and the bar worked just fine. The room was clean, had AC, and everything went smoothly. Great place to relax. Would definitely recommend.
